WEBINAR – Optimizing Part Quality and Cost: Managing the Turbulent Topic of Cooling Strategies

February 25, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am CST

Injection molding is often selected as a manufacturing process when tight tolerance, high quality parts are required. To meet the ever-increasing customer demands for their parts, while controlling part cost, it is important that designers, molders and tool makers understand as early as possible how cooling could affect their part quality. Cooling can affect quality metrics like dimensional stability, cycle time, and part strength. This webinar will highlight how injection molding simulation can be used at all stages of the product and mold development cycle to identify risks and find solutions for issues that can mitigate those risks. After attending the webinar, attendees will better understand:

  1. How part designers and molders can better identify how part design may influence part quality and cycle time without having a cooling line layout.
  2. How molders can understand how efficient their proposed mold construction and cooling line layout will be, and how it might affect part quality.
  3. How to identify if advanced cooling line strategies like conformal cooling, or use of high conductivity inserts can benefit the optimization of the cycle time, without sacrificing part quality.
